Spring and Summer are great times of year to go swimming. The water is warming up, finding creeks and pools is easy, and swimming is cheaper than nearly any other activity. Swimming beats out many other activities, in my opinion, due to its accessibility to everyone who is able bodied: even those without strong swimming skills can float! Can you say inclusivity?
Omaha is slated to host the 2020 swim trials for Olympic qualifying, an honor the Nebraskan town has been fortunate enough to be recognized for three other times so far. Unfortunately for United States Olympic swimming fans, Michael Phelps will not be participating in the swimming trials. I think one reason why swimming is such a great sport is for the dreams that have been followed by millions of people who watched him dominate in each and every one of his dominant performances.
Swimming brings children together as a sport where children are developed enough to swim but not quite enough for other, more contact-heavy sports. KidPass is a subscription service based on a number of activities for children to partake in without getting bored quickly because of the wide-ranging selection, including a number of indoor and outdoor swimming activities.
With KidPass, parents pay one monthly fee for children to be involved in a virtually unlimited amount of land and swimming exercises. Swimming is found in a number of programs, is practiced by many athletes, and seems like an affective method to child organization.
