Michael Burwell is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Willis Towers Watson. He joined the company in October 2017 after the voluntarily retiring of the former CFO Roger Millay. He brings to the company 31 years of experience in finance and proficient services from PWC. Burwell worked in senior leadership positions for the past few decades. In 2009, he was elected as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of PwC’s across the United States; Transaction Services leader and the United States Leader of Transaction Services. Burwell has 11 years of experience in auditing and 12 years of experience in Transaction Service advisory that includes helping companies with evaluation and pre-merger due diligence.
Remarking on the announcement, the CEO of Willis Tower Watson John Haley stated that he was excited to have Michael Burwell join their leadership team at such a crucial time when the company was undergoing an evolution. He defined Mike as someone who understands leading, managing and motivating results in a multifaceted way. He also added that he had confidence in his expertise in transactions; finance and revolution are well suited for the guidance of the long-term growth of the company.
Michael stated that he felt honored to be given an opportunity to be a part of Willis Towers Watson.
